In a recent turn of events, Cardi B has been cleared of any criminal charges stemming from the mic-throwing incident during her performance in Las Vegas on July 29. The incident occurred when an audience member hurled a beverage at the rapper, prompting her to react by throwing the microphone directly at the individual. Following the incident, the audience member filed a report with the police, but the charges have since been dropped.
Cardi B’s legal representatives, Drew Findling, David Chesnoff, and Richard Schonfeld, informed TMZ that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department concluded their investigation, resulting in the decision not to pursue charges against the artist.
“This afternoon, we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept. that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi. On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept’s diligent and prompt resolution of this matter.”
The microphone involved in the incident, originally owned by Scott Fisher, is now listed on eBay for $500. Due to its notoriety, the microphone has garnered significant attention and has already received a staggering 124 bids. The current bid stands at $99,900.
The eBay listing highlights the microphone’s newfound fame, stating that it has been witnessed flying into the crowd after Cardi B was splashed with liquid. Despite the incident, the microphone remains fully functional, as confirmed by Fisher when it was returned to the audio shop on July 31. However, potential buyers should note that a receiver is not included in the auction.
In addition to the microphone, the winning bidder will also receive a letter certifying the item’s authenticity, confirming that it is the actual microphone seen in the viral videos circulating nationwide.
“This is the mic that has been seen all over the country flying into the crowd after Cardi was splashed with some liquid. The mic still works, as I tested it when it came back to the audio shop this afternoon [July 31]. If you ever wanted to use it, you would still need a receiver, which is not part of the auction. I will also include a letter stating this is the actual microphone shown in all the videos being shown nationwide.”
