New Music: Doja Cat Releases ‘Vegas’ For Elvis Biopic

Published

on

Two days ago, Doja Cat released a new single titled ‘Vegas.’ As the lyrics suggest, the record is all about being completely over that casanova with the wandering eyes.

“When you said you live in a dream, we can keep that **** asleep
And you gon’ laugh with all your Gs
Countin’ them sheep, sheep, sheep, sheep
Talkin’ ’bout Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z, R.I.P”

It’s already a hit! Wrapped within the song is a sample of the infamous Big Mama Thorntons’ ‘Hit Hound Dog’ covered by Elvis Presley

This serves as one of the many songs that will be on the official soundtrack for the upcoming Elvis biopic starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. The film is set for release on June 24, 2022.

Although the video footage has been taken down, sources say that this song is one of the unreleased records that Doja Cat debuted during the first week of Coachella.

With summer around the corner, we’re all excited to see what Doja has in store especially considering how ‘Planet Her‘ took us all by storm…not to mention her Grammy award for one of ‘Kiss Me More‘ with SZA!
