Ravyn Lenae Releases New Single — ‘Light Me Up’

On March 18, R&B songstress Ravyn Lenae released a new single titled ‘Light Me Up.’

Ravyn sings about the sweet anticipation that occurs in the beginning stages of romance. According to Complex, she explains that ‘Light Me Up’ explores “the unknown” and leans into “tingly feelings while letting your guard down.”

“Light me up (hold me down)
If you want me, say it loud
If you love me, say it proud”

The song was produced by Steve Lacy, as was Ravyn’s previously released single called ‘Skin Tight.’ The two artists have consistently proven to be a magical musical duo as their shared catalog expands, including her EP named ‘Crush‘ (with my personal favorites being ‘The Night Song‘ and ‘4 Leaf Clover‘!)

She also released a music video directed by Aliyah Otchere and produced by Frankie Wilcock. The videography captures effortless beauty as Ravyn is centered between crystals, candles, and moonlight.

Ravyn’s supporters have been head over heels over her recent releases — no album out! Rest assured, whatever new project the songstress has in the works will be timeless and unskippable. The four minutes of lush and ethereal beauty that she captures in ‘Light Me Up’ make for a promising glimpse into Lenae’s anticipated debut album.
